
RUBEN PADUA – Junior Deacon

Brother Ruben Padua was born in Cabangan, Zambales, Philippines on May 1972 and moved to Carson, California in 1989. He graduated from Carson High School in 1991 and then enlisted in the United States Navy.
While stationed in Sasebo, Japan, Brother Ruben embarked on his Masonic journey, becoming a member of Nippon Lodge #9 in 2008. He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice, passed to the degree of Fellowcraft, and was ultimately raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in 2011. He held various positions within the lodge and actively participated in numerous Masonic events and activities, fostering a strong sense of brotherhood and camaraderie among the members.
Upon his retirement from the Navy in 2011, Brother Ruben rekindled his passion for the craft. In 2022, he affiliated with Widows Sons Lodge No. 869, where he currently serves as the Junior Deacon. His dedication and commitment to the fraternity have been exemplary, and he continues to contribute significantly to the lodge’s growth and success.
Brother Ruben is a devoted family man. He is happily married to Sister Marife, who shares his enthusiasm for the Masonic values of charity, truth, and integrity. Together, they have two adult daughters, who are pursuing their own careers and interests, and one minor son, who is actively involved in various school activities and extracurricular
pursuits. Brother Ruben’s family is a source of strength and inspiration for him, and they often participate in Masonic events and gatherings, fostering a sense of unity and support within the Masonic community.
