
MARK ECHELBERGER – Senior Deacon

Brother Mark Echelberger was born in Fort Dodge, IA in January 1977 and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1995. Then enlisted in the United States Navy in1996.
While stationed at ACU5 Camp Pendleton, CA. Brother Mark embarked on his Masonic journey, becoming a member of Oceanside-San Dieguito #381 in 2003.
He was initiated as an Entered Apprentice, passed to the degree of Fellowcraft, and was ultimately raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in 2004. He held various positions within the lodge and actively participated in numerous Masonic events and activities, fostering a strong sense of brotherhood and camaraderie among the members.
After his retirement from the Navy in 2016, Brother Mark rekindled his passion for the craft in 2022, when affiliated with Widows Sons Lodge No. 869, where he is currently serves as the Senior Deacon. His dedication and commitment to the fraternity have been exemplary, and he continues to contribute significantly to the lodge’s growth and success. Brother
Mark is a family man; he is happily married to Sister Kristy. Together, they have two adult daughters, who are pursuing their own careers and interests, and one minor daughter, who is actively involved in various school activities.
Brother Mark’s family is a source of strength and inspiration for him, fostering a sense of unity and support within the Masonic community.
