JACK FERNANDO – Senior Steward

Following a family tradition of having nicknames starting with letter “J” among her ten grandsons, Brother Amorsolo Fernando was nicknamed Jack by his paternal grandmother.

Jack was born on February 1, 1967, in Nueva Ecija, Philippines. At aged 17, he joined the US Navy and retired after 28 years as CWO4. In 2020, Jack earned a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from California School of Professional Psychology following his internship in VA Nebraska. He then satisfied all licensure prerequisites in VA South Dakota, where his clinical service was unexpectedly extended in 2021 to 2023 due to the pandemic.

Jack was a charter member of the Nueva Ecija Chapter of DeMolay. In 1988, Jack’s masonic journey began when he joined his father and uncle in Coronado Lodge #441. He also joined the Scottish Rite and Al Bahr Shrine. In 2018, he was heavily involved in the formation of Murrieta Lodge #869 (later renamed Widows Sons Lodge), served as Junior
Warden in 2020 and 2021. Jack returned home in 2023 and currently serves as Senior Steward for Widows Sons Lodge.

As Board of Director for the Filipino American Retirees of Southern California, Jack regularly meets with his team to raise funds for victims of calamities. As he holds psychology licenses in Illinois and California, Dr. Fernando is getting ready to serve as many mental health patients as he can.

As a life member of Coronado and Widows Sons lodges, he
values his time for the service of God and distressed worthy brothers, his usual vocations, and a part for refreshment and repose.

Brother Fernando is married to Maria Framee for 34 years. They have one son, Brandon and a pug Timon. They reside in Murrieta and San Diego.
