ERWIN BAYQUEN – Junior Warden
Erwin Bayquen was born on November 28, 1977, in Baguio City, Philippines. In September 1992, he and his family migrated to San Francisco, California, where he has built a life centered on purpose and service.
Erwin is married to Marizza Bayquen, a dedicated NICU nurse. They have three sons: Joshua, Ethan, and Kyle.
In April 1998, Erwin enlisted in the United States Navy, embarking on a distinguished career that spanned over two decades. Throughout his service, he held various positions, demonstrating unwavering dedication and commitment. Notably, he completed a second tour of duty in Yokosuka, Japan, from 2001 to 2004, during which he embraced the principles of brotherhood and service through Freemasonry.
Erwin’s Masonic journey began in December 2003 when he was initiated into the fraternity. He was successfully passed in Mar 23, 2004 and was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason in March 30, 2004 at Yokosuka Lodge No. 20 under the Grand Lodge of Japan. His involvement in Freemasonry has become a significant aspect of his life, reflecting his commitment to community and brotherhood.
After retiring from the Navy in April 2020, Erwin settled in Chula Vista, California. He continued to nurture his passion for Freemasonry by affiliating with Widows Son Lodge No. 869 in Murrieta, CA, and Southwest Lodge No. 283 in National City, CA, where he actively participates in community service and the Masonic brotherhood.
Erwin Bayquen’s life is characterized by resilience, service, and a deep commitment to both his family and the principles of Freemasonry.
