Brother Emmanuel “Manny” Butiu was born on July 26, 1975, in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines. He is the eldest of three children of Emigdio Butiu and Evangeline Gervacio. In July 1996, his family migrated to the United States, and later that year, in December, he enlisted in
the United States Navy. Brother Manny honorably served for 25 years, retiring in 2021.

He is married to Sis Glenda, and together they have two children: Marco, 23, an active Airman married to his lovely wife Aaliyah and father to their adorable daughter Mahalia, and Aneesa,18, a freshman at UC Irvine.

Brother Manny’s Masonic journey began in 2008 at Oceanside-San Dieguito Lodge #381, where he was initiated, passed, and raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason in the same year. After a period of inactivity, he returned to Masonry in 2020 and affiliated with Widows Sons Lodge #869 in 2021. He began his officer journey as Junior Deacon and has since steadily progressed through the ranks. He is honored to serve as Senior Warden for the 2025 Masonic year.
