Pennypickle’s Workshop is a place where children are engaged with hands-on inventions, gadgets and experiments where they learn as they play. The museum has won a THEA award from the Themed Entertainment Association, 2 awards from the California Park and Recreation Society and Nickelodeon Networks’ Parents’ Pick Award for Best Museum and Best Birthday Party Place.
Understanding the importance of how knowledge and engaging in science impact the future generation, several members of Widows Sons Lodge 869 volunteered to work with the staff of Pennypickle’s Workshop for their annual Holiday Market where they manned different stations and assisted kids in building snow globes, keychains, bracelet beads and christmas cards.
As parents themselves, the experience truly resonated with the brothers of Widows Sons 869 and has left a very important mark in fostering a child’s development through activities, engagement and involvement.
